About edio
edio is a learning technology and education delivery company based in Cheltenham, UK.
The people we train are founders and future founders: startup CEOs and CTOs, academic entrepreneurs, spinout teams, people building something new after a career change. We also serve the programme leads accountable to their funders for measurable outcomes.
Our position is built on understanding what a programme actually needs to succeed. That starts with what the funder asked for, and it doesn’t stop at the planning stage. Programme priorities shift, audience needs change, and delivery reveals what design couldn’t predict.
We support our partners to adjust in-flight and communicate change to senior stakeholders where necessary, so that the programme delivers what was promised to its funders while the learners get an experience that transforms what they believe they can do. Our business is built on trust and deeply-engaged partnerships.
edio has trained many hundreds of company founders, beginning with the British Library’s Innovating for Growth programme in 2012, and since 2019 our work has centred on entrepreneurship education and commercialisation training for universities, innovation networks, and public institutions, in the UK and internationally.
Our expertise is in how the key decision points are understood: working backwards from the outcome at each milestone to create training that shows people how a company gets built.

Christopher Pett
Christopher Pett founded edio and leads its client work. He has supported company founders on product, growth and technology strategy since 2012, focusing on university spinouts since 2020. Before that he was a founder and early employee at three startups, including two M&A exits, in internet technology, data publishing and manufacturing.
How we work
A core team of five covers programme architecture, learning design, software development and expert-led training delivery, and around six further associates join us each year, matched to the needs of each engagement. Our mission is to make it easy for our clients to deliver their commitment to learners and funders, using technology to create efficiencies without ever sacrificing quality or the human touch.
